The Old Dairy provides delightful and secluded accommodation on a farm in the heart of rural Dorset. It’s a self-contained ground floor annex to a family home that comprises double bedroom, bathroom, private sitting room, lobby as well as a small garden and parking. Comfortably furnished rooms have all been recently renovated and are very wheelchair friendly. We’re located in a very quiet area with many local footpaths and bridleways on hand to explore the countryside. Sturminster Newton is just one mile away and has a variety of shops, cafes and pubs, while larger towns such as Sherborne, Shaftesbury, Gillingham and Blandford Forum are all within a 20-minute drive. The surrounding area offers horse riding, golf courses, fishing, and hundreds of walks, while the award winning beaches of southern Dorset are well within an hour’s drive. |
There’s a choice of continental or full English breakfast, which includes produce from our local farm. Gillingham railway station (2 hours direct from London) is 20 minutes away by road. Directions: Take the A357 from Sturminster Newton towards Stalbridge and one mile out, turn left at sign for Puxey Farm. Approximately ½ mile on turn right into Fair View Farm. Drive to red brick farmhouse at the end of the track and then into Milk House on the right and park. Depending upon the season, the guide price is £35-£55 per person per night. |
